2013. Music Video in Kakuma Refugee Camp 

After spending a month in Kakuma Refugee camp working with refugees through FilmAid to empower them to tell their stories through film, my colleague and I decided to make something for the local Juba Community. We wanted to create something that they could see themselves in on the big screen. FilmAid has nightly screenings throughout the camp that has both psycho social benefits and educational purposes. We wanted to place the kids on the big screen in a positive beautiful way. We never expected it would take off and then screen in the U.N. and have celebrities tweet and blog about it.
